Welcome to the first edition of the EvilPunk Developer Diary, where we share the exciting updates, improvements, and behind-the-scenes moments from the game's development. As we work to create a thrilling gaming experience, we’ll keep you informed about the progress and new features you can look forward to.
What Have We Accomplished So Far?
Since releasing the demo version of EvilPunk, we've been hard at work. It’s been an intense journey for our team, involving:
Design Improvements: Enhancing game mechanics and adding new features.
Bug Fixes: Ensuring smoother gameplay by addressing critical issues.
Artistic Advancements: Crafting stunning new models, animations, and maps.
We’ve also established a community feedback system via social media to hear your thoughts and integrate them into the development process.
Key Improvements and Updates
EvilPunk Weapons: Crafting a Realistic Experience
The core of EvilPunk lies in its weapon mechanics. From the outset, we aimed for realism, but the process brought unique challenges and learning opportunities.
Revolver Updates:
Early testing revealed gameplay issues, such as ammo display mismatches. We resolved this by syncing the UI with the revolver's chamber mesh.
Reload Mechanics: Unlike other weapons, the revolver now reloads automatically. This change ensures smoother gameplay during intense zombie encounters.
Optimization Efforts: We solved issues like weapon shaking and shoulder positioning by refining in-game models and improving controller calibration.
Visual Enhancements: Beyond functionality, we've updated the visuals for all weapons to make them more engaging.
EvilPunk Belt System: Redefining Player Utility
The original belt system presented challenges:
Separate belts for pistols and rifles caused unnecessary delays.
Items like weapons, bombs, and magazines weren’t displayed correctly, disrupting immersion.
We’ve since designed a unified and optimized belt system, improving usability and enhancing the overall player experience.
EvilPunk Polygon: Your Preparation Zone
EvilPunk The Polygon is more than a testing ground—it's a hub of activity:
Weapon Testing and Upgrades: Try out weapons, purchase new ones, and upgrade your arsenal.
Story Elements: Interact with Priest Marcus to uncover the dark tale of EvilPunk.
Interactive Features: Play the piano belonging to Salomon’s brother, High Priest John—just don’t say we didn’t warn you about the sound!
When ready, revisit Priest Marcus, select your adventure location on the map, and embark on your journey.

Our commitment to crafting a compelling and immersive gaming experience remains stronger than ever. We’re tackling bugs, integrating community feedback, and continuously improving the game to ensure EvilPunk exceeds your expectations.
